Responsibilities
- Supports
MTOP and Engineering departments utilizing SolidWorks, CADRA and
various documentation-related software to detail and fully document
aerospace products in written, electronic, and web-based formats.
- Prepares
illustrated parts breakdowns for flight suit systems and aerospace
products.
- Prepares
Quality Assurance procedures and manuals.
- Processes
technical data changes and design change notices.
- Assists
with development and maintenance of status reports for assigned
projects.
- Review
product design for compliance with engineering principles, DCCI
standards, customer requirements, and specifications.
- Log
and control drawings, electrical schematics, and MIL standards.
- Assign
and log control suit assembly serial numbers.
- Assist
EVMS Manager, as needed, with report creation and documentation
support.
- Assists
with processing ECNs, ECRs, CPs, CANs, and Ras.
- Support
PPA Maintenance and Repair course with class on Technical Manual
creation and general information.
Requirements:
o BS
in Mechanical Engineering/Design or 2-5 years equivalent experience
o Proficient
using PageMaker, FrameMaker, Photoshop, Freehand, and MS Office
o Working
knowledge of CADRA 2D and SolidWorks 3D software
o Ability
to observe and comprehend manufacturing procedures and create technical
documents from them
o Ability
to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and other technical drawings
o Familiarity
with Earned Value Management Systems desireable
o Deadline-oriented
with attention to detail
o Hands-on
mechanical aptitude
o Strong
communication skills
